Apartamento 1G Plaza San Nicolas is a newly redone apartment located in the city centre in Madrid. This 18th Century building is one block off Calle Major on the medieval Plaza San Nicolas across from the church from which it takes its name and whose bell tower was converted from an Islamic mosque. Capacity for up to 4 people.

Up two short flights of stairs your entry to Apartamento 1G Plaza San Nicolas  is greeted by a an American side board dating from the late 19th Century. It height of almost eight feet lifts your eyes up to the beamed ceilings which are through out. In the bedroom they are open to the sloping roof soaring a story and a half overhead in the tall end. High in that wall is a window adding light to an already luminous apartment.

Rich red barro tile floors and buttery yellow walls run through out. Matching yellow wall tiles accent the kitchen wall of the living/dining room. Three tall windows flood the room with light. For parties of three or four the sofa converts into a comfortable double bed. In addition to the requisite refrigerator and washer/dryer, the kitchen counter has a ceramic cook top along side the deep stainless steel sink with drain board. The bathroom is almost blinding in white tile and has a shower cabinet with a multiple shower headed column for bathing delight. Air conditioning sees you through the warmer months, and electric heating in the winter.

For those meals you do not wish to prepare, local restaurants surround you. A Madrileño classic, Casa Ciriaco is at the foot of your street where it enters Calle Mayor. Hemingway's favorite, Botins, is four blocks away on the ancient street of the knife makers - "Los Cuchilleros". Don't miss the Tapas bars along the same street, each featuring its own specialty! No more that four blocks in every direction you will find many of the important and interesting buildings and plazas you wish to see. The 16th Century Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol (the geographic center of Spain), The Opera and Teatro Real, and The Royal Palace, and Monastery de las Descalzas.

Payment Policy:

An initial NON-refundable deposit is required to complete your booking. An additional non-refundable booking charge of 40% of the total charges is required by the owner to finalize the booking within 2 days of reservation completion. This is to be made directly to the owner by credit card or wire transfer. The remaining balance may be paid in cash on arrival or by credit card 32 days before your arrival. Payment is required in full before entry and is non-refundable, although in the event of cancellation credit for up to 90% of the total value will be given for future bookings.
